Our first stop was in Newark for the annual Joyner garage sale. I always love working the sale too because I enjoy seeing what people think they can't live without. Plus, I can't ever get enough calculating. :) The sale went well, but Barb said it wasn't as good as previous years due to the rain.
The men took the boys (well, all but Jack) creek stomping near the Coad Potato Farm which is where Grammy, Tom's grandmother (also Tessa's middle-namesake), was raised. We also took the kids to La Paloma, a local favorite for sopapillas. Josie treated all the cousins afterward to dessert at Josie's Frozen Yogurt with a gift card she received for her birthday. Best of all, we just got to hang out with one another. The kids all play so well together and I think Katie and I are excited to see Jack, Alexis and Jenna running around with the others in the next few years.
It was fantastic to have all of the cousins in one place - there are 10 now! We managed to get a few pictures. It's really hard to keep 10 kids happy and looking good for a photo!
Finally, Barb baked Jack a birthday cake so he could have an early celebration with all of his cousins! Here's Jack hearing Happy Birthday for the first time.
And, some additional photos from his 1st birthday party!
